Art Paul Schlosser - Vote For Me ( It's A Joke )

A street performer, had songs on Dr. Demento radio show even in the "Funny Five" and a cartoonist, albeit not a really great one. So what does this reviewer think of Art Paul Schlosser? First, don't ever attempt to buy his CDs and think you are going to hear great music , a wonderful voice, or even thought provoking material. You will be sadly disappointed!

So what is this Madison, Wisconsin man trying to prove? That's a simple little task, he wants to make you laugh. You may not share his sense of humor, but I and many others do get a few chuckles out of the modern day Jester. I read somewhere that everyone should own at least one of his CDs, I don't agree with that statement in the least, so I offer up this advice to you.  If you think you have a good sense of humor, find some of Art's..... Ummmmm....... Music on the web, listen if you dare, and then make up your mind as to buying his CDs.

If he needed his voice to pay the rent and put food on the table, well I'll just say Simon Crowell wouldn't even hesitate to stop Paul from singing, his guitar playing is worse that his Kazoo playing, but it all goes together into a tight little package. Once you get over the initial feeling of being annoyed, Art Paul Schlosser can strike a chord with your funny bone (Probably easier than on his guitar).

I give you these words of caution simply because there are a lot of folks that will NOT find this the least bit amusing. If you have an open mind and take the entire project the way it is meant, you will probably get some chuckles. I don't know how long it takes APS to come up with the premise, but I am sure it is probably longer than the content or music.  Being a street performer is something in it's own right, and he seems to hold his own in that market. The CD though sounds like he woke up in the middle of a fream one night and before completely waking up, wrote down everything he thought should be changed about the USA and why folks should vote for him. The bottom line is this, maybe not aurally pleasing, but if I had to make a choice between the politicians who actually DO WIN elections, and Art Paul Schlosser, at gun point I would probably vote for APS!

This CD will not be rated in the usual STAR manner as the work of APS is completely subjective to each listener. Listen at your own risk!
