DeAnn Sanders - Of The Hook (DEMO)

DeAnn Sanders offers a four song demo CD "Off the Hook". A country sound with tints of cross-over appeal. Sanders covers a lot of musical ground, while listening you can hear influences (intended or not) from Jewel to Evanescence. DeAnn Sanders easily embraces different styles, the term eclectic comes to mind. The first song is fast paced with a happy tone. The banjo subtly stands out in the background. With "We're In This Love Together", the lyrics are very insightful as Sanders sings, "It's like a favorite song we like to sing every time we hear it/ We're in this love together."

The second cut, "Nobody's Gonna love you", is more laid back, it tackles dealing with a relationship ending. The lyrics make the track easy to relate to, we've all been there, that causes this track to really hit home. "You Still Ain't Off The Hook" starts off slow then continues to build. Need an energy boost, pop this track in the player!

"Nothin Like A Good Rain" (written by Bob Dellaposta) is an elegant piano driven number. A great track to listen to on a rainy day, sitting and gazing out the window as the rain flows down the pane. "Nothing Like A Good Rain" is an emotionally driven track, possibly the best offering here. Off The Hook by DeAnn Sanders is a good start by the upstart singer, a four song taste, more will certainly be on the way!
