Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, George Canyon was the first contestant on the second season of Nashville Star to be voted by the judges to be in the "House".

George Canyon is a real cowboy at heart singing songs that not only appeal to the Canadian listeners but also with the American audiences, and worldwide Cowboy wannabe's will be able to relate and enjoy too.

I was blown away with the first performance of George Canyon on the new season of Nashville Star, and being the first to perform he also had the nerves to contend with. In my opinion that is the strength of a REAL performer. Great job, and really looking forward to getting to hear and know more about George Canyon in the coming weeks.  

George Canyon has just released his newest single to the airwaves in Canada, with great response. The new song is "Good Day To Ride" and I am ecstatic that I have been given the go ahead to give you a sample of the song right here at Rikks Revues. Destined to be a star, we will have to keep watching the USA network every Saturday night 10 pm EST or Sunday Nights in the great white north for Nashville Star. "We all love this fellow...he is such a down to earth man who seems so obviously to love what he is doing...he becomes so 'Alive" on stage and although he maintains that humble manner, you can just feel the music flowing thru him...you can almost see his kind heart and feel the warmth and love he feels for those around him.  No matter what, we will always love and admire this strong individual and listen to his gifted voice.
