Contemporary Christian music, Jesus Rock, Contemporary Gospel, Praise and Worship music. Though it has been labeled these and many other names, Contemporary Christian music has made vast improvements from it's early stages. Though the pioneers like Larry Norman, Keith Green, Randy Stonehill, Petra, Steve Taylor and Amy Grant really paved the way, the music continues to grow. There is music for all tastes in Contemporary Christian music from breezy light pop sounds to hard edged metal, punk, country, and more just waiting to be heard. There was a time that the music wasn't as well produced and the sound quality was lower than many of the major labels, but that certainly isn't the case today as the sounds and styles are equal to that of the secular music world.

When one normally thinks of a music festival the thoughts of Woodstock, Ozfest and a host of others. The OneDay03 festival which was held May of last year in Sherman, Texas is not your average festival however. A Christian music festival where people from around the globe gather to worship. This CD holds highlights of the festival recorded live during the event. 

Including on the CD are worship songs from the David Crowder band, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall among others. the over 40,000 in attendance on the 40 acre ranch were as loud as any festival I can remember. The tracks give you a feeling of belonging, and being there. Hauntingly uplifting vocals from all involved tend to make your troubles vanish wile listening. 

Worship music has always been there and over the last decade has grown more popular than ever, and is not only limited to revivals or churches. Don't get the CD expecting deep lyrical content, as worship songs are simple and direct, that is part of the appeal. A CD that exudes passion and feeling that you can't help but feel the energy. A good start for a worship music library.
