You know, since DVD started becoming mainstream you could almost see this coming.... Well, I mean they started with VHS, but I mean the tapes were really big and bulky, and there really weren't that many shows that really made the transition well. With DVD, TV shows make the transition much easier, I mean the discs are thinner, the packaging is smaller and much easier to store. You can store a whole TV Season on DVD easily and with as much room as it may take to store maybe 3 VHS tapes at most, a lot of the Seasons can fit in a space the width it would take to fit ONE VHS tape, or less.

Anyway, welcome to the TV on DVD. There is much to report and many new reviews will be on the way soon, this time around there is something nostalgic for the Kid in all of us, Punky Brewster - Complete Season 2 TV on DVD review.......

Punky Brewster complete Second Season on DVD

1985 ushered in the second season of the highly popular television series, now available on DVD, of Punky Brewster. A young girl gets into mischief a bit, and with the help of her step dad Henry (George Gaynes) she usually gets out of the scrapes with some sort of a lesson learned. Played by the young Soleil Moon Frye, Punky Brewster was a spunky kid that loved to learn as much as play, she takes on Bullies, and has fun with her friends too.

Punky Brewster Season 2 is now available on DVD, the complete 22 episode collection that will hold as much nostalgia for the older viewers as it will fun for the younger, first time watchers. The children of today may get a quite a kick out of some of the 80s style clothing worn, but the show is still as much fun for the younger generation as it was in the past. So, get ready to take a trip down memory lane, Punky Brewster style, 4 DVD set of Punky Power!

Soleil Moon Frye (aka) Punky Brewster The 4 DVD set from Shout factory also has some great bonus features.... The best being the 3 full hours of "It's Punky Brewster", the Saturday morning cartoon that features many of the original voices from the TV series. You will also get to take the trip through the eyes of Henry Warnimont in an interview with George Gaynes. The NBC series may seem a bit passé to some of the viewers, but it is still a hoot to see Punky taking on the bully "Moose" (Amy Dolan), in the episode Punky Brewster not only gets a black eye, but she gets some boxing lessons from Marvin Haggelar.

Some of the other guest stars on Season 2 of Punky Brewster include Jennifer George, Alyson Croft, and Candace Cameron. This set may not be for everyone, but for the children in your life, it is sure to be a hit, and you will find yourself sneaking the DVDs in from time to time when no one else is around to get your own fix of Punky Power! All in all, Season 2 of Punky Brewster is a food set, albeit at times a bit dated, still great and the kiddies will still like it.......
