Terri Clark - Life Goes On CD Review

The follow up to Terri Clark's popular Pain To Kill, "Life Goes On" is as much a continuation of the prior as it is new and exciting. Terri Clark adds her subtle brand of humor to the heart-touching ballads and feel-good jukebox beer joint tunes. Life Goes On begins with the up-tempo title track and that is enough to draw in most any country music fan, but it's what happens later that really puts Terri Clark's latest offering into high gear.

The lead single "She Didn't Have Time" is one of those touching ballads that brings the life of a single mom to the forefront showing that even single mothers can be happy, even if they don't think they have time. "Damn Right" is an "I'm gonna miss you" song, typical track, but good all the same. There are some really solid, radio friendly tracks on "Life Goes On" like "Cowboy Days", "I Wish He'd Been Drinkin' Whiskey" and "Everybody's Gotta Go Sometimes".

The tracks that really draw you in however are offerings like the humorous "Honky Tonk Song", the heartfelt "Slow News Day" that brings the headlines under a microscope in a spiritual light, and "Bigger Windows", a no matter what, life goes on track. From beginning to end, Life Goes On is definitive Terri Clark that the super-star's fans will for sure snatch up, and country fans in general can relate to with its humor and emotion.

The Canadian born Terri Clark offers up some of her best, both musically and with the lyrics that fans have come to expect. A great CD with some definite hit potential, Life Goes On by Terri Clark is for sure on many Country Music fans wish lists.
